Hi all!
Tomorrow I will have a free video about painting on pastelmat which yields beautiful soft edges and seamless blends that I'm really excited about! See below for the painting that I completed on pastelmat (sold). This paper is available at https://amzn.to/3X9z8l5
Please note that a lot of these effects CAN be achieved on watercolor paper so I wouldn't recommend buying this pastelmat unless you have money to throw around. But some of the effects were really exciting!

My big project this coming week will be my sea turtle paintings that will become tutorials when I am satisfied with them. I am working on two - see below. I'm really having fun playing up the granulation effects I can get with Ultramarine blue and Rockwell super-granulating paints. You don't need to buy these Rockwell paints to achieve similar granulation - just mix cobalt blue or ultramarine blue into your mixes and they will granulate beautifully!

Also, be sure not to miss the start to finish real time tutorial I did of the sea turtle study on synthetic paper (below) The tutorial is at https://www.patreon.com/posts/sea-turtle-study-110022775
This tutorial explores an interesting synthetic paper similar to yupo that is SO fun to paint on because it acts just like a dry erase board in that if you don't like part of your painting, even if it is dry, you can take a damp brush and 'erase' back to the white of the paper. It's the ultimate in stress free watercolor painting! This synthetic paper is available at https://amzn.to/3STk1tA

Please note you can join as a paid member or pay a one time fee to watch this tutorial, which is a new offering on Patreon. I'd love feedback on how you all (free and paid) feel about this new option to pay for tutorials!
To my OG's - how do you like the Rembrandt edges I got in this little study? If you don't know about Rembrandt edges, be sure to watch my free video at https://youtu.be/hLHvg03qDzU?si=MvFtrvkKU5emyFml
